Oher says he didn’t make a penny from the film, while the Tuohys would have received a share of the profits. In the petition, Michael Oher asks that the guardianship be terminated and that the family be prohibited from using his name and likeness. He also wants access to the accounts of the values that the Tuohys made in her name, and that the couple pay him a compensatory amount.
The film “The Blind Side”, directed by American filmmaker John Lee Hancock Jr. (1956-), earned a lot of money for the beloved “Miss Congeniality”, Sandra Bullock and also her only Oscar, which by the rules of the Academy of Arts and Sciences Cinematographic, there is nothing that says that the actress needs to return the figurine, even with the film’s story no longer being recognized as true, as there are no rules for biographical or fictional awards.
