She became known for her role as “Miss Eve Teschmacher” in “Superman” (1978); and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1975 (but did not win) for “Lenny” (1974), a biographical character based on “Honey Bruce”, born Harriet Jolliff (1927-2005), a former Las Vegas stripper and wife of the controversial comedian Lenny Bruce, born Leonard Alfred Schneider (1925-1966).

The only significant award of her career was the BAFTA for Best New Actress in 1976, for “Lenny”.

The actress passed away without having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Valerie Ritchie Perrine was born on September 3, 1943, in Galveston, Texas, United States, and died on March 23, 2026, in Beverly Hills, California, United States, at the age of 82, after living with Parkinson’s disease for years.

Valerie Perrine never married and had no children. In 1969, the actress became engaged to collector Bill Haarman (1919-1969), but he tragically died after a firearm accident. The importer and gun collector was killed when a pistol kept in his belt fell to the floor and discharged; the bullet ricocheted off a door and struck his heart. This event occurred a month before their wedding date.

The name I highlight in this post is Gene Hackman, a talented American actor who received numerous awards throughout his career, including two Oscars: Best Actor in 1972 for the film “The French Connection” (1971), playing “Jimmy ‘Popeye’ Doyle”, and Best Supporting Actor in 1993 for the western “Unforgiven” (1992), playing “Little Bill Daggett”.

In addition to the Oscar, Gene Hackman received four Golden Globe Awards: Best Actor in a Drama Film (1972), Best Supporting Actor in a Film (1993), Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical (2002), and the Cecil B. DeMille Award (2003). He also won two BAFTA Awards: Best Actor (1973) and Best Supporting Actor (1993).

Despite being one of the most acclaimed and lucrative actors in film history, Gene Hackman does not have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Eugene Allen Hackman was born on January 30, 1930, in San Bernardino, California, United States, and died on February 18, 2025, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States, at the age of 95.

Gene Hackman was married twice. His first marriage was to bank employee Faye Maltese (1928-2017), from 1956 to 1986, with whom he had three children: Christopher, Elizabeth, and Leslie. After their divorce, he married American pianist Betsy Machiko Arakawa Hackman (1959-2025) in 1991, remaining together until they were found dead in their home in Santa Fe on February 26, 2025 (eight days after their deaths). The couple had no children, but she was named the sole beneficiary of Hackman’s fortune in his will, which excluded the actor’s three children from his previous marriage. Reports indicate that Arakawa died of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome and that Hackman, who suffered from advanced Alzheimer’s disease, likely did not realize his wife’s death, subsequently dying of heart disease, alone, malnourished, and dehydrated. Police ruled out the possibility of premeditated murder.

The name I highlight in this post is that of the award-winning American actress Ellen Burstyn, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1975 for her performance in the film “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” (1974), playing the protagonist “Alice Hyatt”.

In addition to the Oscar, Ellen has received numerous other awards, including two Emmys, a Golden Globe, a Tony Award, and a BAFTA, making her one of the few artists to achieve the “Triple Crown of Acting”.

The actress does not have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Fans and admirers have campaigned and petitioned over the years for her to receive this honor, recognizing her brilliant career as an Oscar, Tony, and Emmy winner – the “Hollywood Triple Crown”.

Ellen Burstyn, stage name of Edna Rae Gillooly, was born on December 7, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, United States, and is currently 93 years old.

The actress married three times, adopting her last husband’s surname as her stage name. Her first marriage was to the American poet, novelist, essayist, playwright, and visual artist William C. Alexander (1925-1988), from 1950 to 1957; her second marriage was to the American Broadway director and stage manager Paul Roberts (1928-), from 1958 to 1961. They adopted a son during their marriage, the now-actor Jefferson Roberts (1961-); and her third and final marriage was to the American actor, writer, and screenwriter Neil Burstyn, known professionally as Neil Nephew (1939-1978), from 1964 to 1972. In this relationship, Ellen faced tumultuous times with Neil, who suffered from schizophrenia and violent tendencies, and the marriage ended in separation, with her ex-husband committing suicide in 1978.

The name I highlight in this post is that of the award-winning American actress Louise Fletcher, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1976 for her performance in the film “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” (1975), playing “Nurse Ratched”.

In addition to the Oscar, Louise received a BAFTA award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in 1976 for “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”.

Louise Fletcher is yet another award-winning actress who passed away without having the honor of having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Estelle Louise Fletcher was born on July 22, 1934, in Birmingham, Alabama, United States, and died on September 23, 2022, in Montdurausse, France.

Louise Fletcher was married only once, to producer Jerry Bick (1923-2004). They married in 1958 and divorced in 1978. The couple had two sons: businessman Andrew Wilson Bick (1958-) and Hollywood literary agent John Dashiell Bickz (1961-). Fletcher took an 11-year break from her acting career after the birth of her children.

The name I highlight in this post is that of the award-winning American actress, singer, and dancer Liza Minnelli, who became world-famous in the 1970s for her portrayal of “Sally Bowles” in the musical film “Cabaret” (1972), a film that earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1973. Liza is recognized for her powerful voice and impeccable performances, being considered one of the queens of Broadway and Hollywood.

Liza Minnelli is the daughter of the renowned actress Frances Ethel Gumm, better known by her stage name Judy Garland (1922-1969), and filmmaker Vincente Minnelli, pseudonym of Lester Anthony Minnelli (1903-1986).

Liza Minnelli, at 76 years old, made a moving appearance at the 2022 Oscars in a wheelchair alongside American singer, songwriter, and actress Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, better known as Lady Gaga (1986-), to present the Best Picture award, marking the 50th anniversary of “Cabaret”. Despite the warm reception, friends alleged that the star was “sabotaged” by the event's production, as she wanted to use a “director’s chair” and was forced to use a regular wheelchair (because the motorized chair could slip on stage during the presentation), all against her will.

In addition to the Oscar, Liza Minnelli won four Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical in 1965 and 1978, a Special Award in 1974, and an award for Best Special Event in Theatre in 2009. She also won a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in 1973 for “Cabaret”; two Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical in 1973 for “Cabaret” and Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film in 1986 for “A Time to Live” (1985); two Grammy Awards in 1973, in the category of Best Variety or Music Program for “Liza with a Z” and in 1991 for “Music Legend”.

The actress has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, located at 7000 Hollywood Boulevard, in the Live Theatrical Performance category.

Liza May Minnelli was born on March 12, 1946, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, United States, and is currently 79 years old.

The actress has been married four times. Her first marriage was to Peter Allen (1944–1992), an acclaimed Australian singer, songwriter, and pianist, from 1967 to 1974; Liza Minnelli’s second marriage occurred in the same year as her separation, to Jack Haley Jr. (1933–2001), an acclaimed American director, producer, and screenwriter, from 1974 to 1979; her third marriage also occurred in the same year as her separation, to Mark Gero (1952-), an American sculptor without much talent, from 1979 to 1992; Finally, Liza married David Alan Gest (1953-2016), an American television promoter and producer, from 2002 to 2007. The name I present in this post is that of British actress of Indian origin Julie Christie, winner of the Oscar for Best Actress (1966) for her performance in the film “Darling” (1965), playing “Diana Scott”. She is also famous for her role, that same year, in another cinema classic: “Doctor Zhivago”, where she played “Lara Antipova”.

In addition to the Oscar, the actress won two BAFTA Film Awards: Best British Actress in 1966 for “Darling” and an honorary BAFTA in 1997; and a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama in 2008 for “Away From Her”.

Julie Christie married Scottish journalist and author Duncan Campbell (1944-2025). Campbell worked primarily on criminal matters, serving as a senior reporter and war correspondent for The Guardian, and wrote several books on the subject. The couple were married from 1987 to 2010 and had no children.

The name I present in this post is that of the iconic American actor, producer, and director Robert Redford, who passed away three days ago, on September 16. Despite starring in more than 50 Hollywood films, Redford never received the Oscar for Best Actor. He received two Oscars throughout his career: one for Best Director in 1981 for “Ordinary People” (1980) and another honorary lifetime achievement award in 2002.

Throughout his career, Redford received other awards besides two Oscars; he also won a BAFTA Award and five Golden Globe Awards, one of which was the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Robert Redford was a prominent environmental activist. But he also left a legacy of supporting artists, founding the Sundance Institute, a nonprofit organization he founded in 1981 to support independent film and theater, and whose best-known event is the Sundance Film Festival. Redford was also a producer, co-founding the production company Wildwood Enterprises.

Robert Redford refused to have his name engraved on a star on the Los Angeles Walk of Fame, being one of the celebrities who, despite his fame, refused the honor.

Robert Redford was a ladies’ man, having had numerous relationships with famous actresses, but he was married twice: first to American historian and activist Lola Van Wagenen (1936-), from 1958 to 1985, and then to German painter Sibylle Szaggars (1957-), who was widowed by Redford after a 16-year marriage, from 2009 to 2025.

Robert Redford had four children from his relationship with his ex-wife Lola. The first was Scott Anthony Redford (September 1, 1959 – November 17, 1959), who died at two months old from sudden infant death syndrome; in (1960), the couple welcomed Shauna, now 64, who followed in her stepmother Sibylle’s footsteps and became a painter; two years later (1962), James Redford arrived, following in his father’s footsteps and becoming an actor and director. James passed away in (2020) from liver cancer; Robert’s youngest daughter, Amy, 54, also followed in her father’s footsteps and is an accomplished actress.

Anne Bancroft was married twice: the first time to Martin May (1922-1957), an American soldier and recipient of the highest American military decoration, from 1953 to 1957, from whom she was widowed; her second marriage was to the American actor, filmmaker and director Melvin James Kaminsky - Mel Brooks (1926-), from 1964 to 2005. Mikey Madison began her career acting in short films and received recognition for her role as a temperamental teenager in the comedy series “Better Things”, on the FX channel, playing the character “Max Fox”.

The film “Anora” is by the American filmmaker, director, screenwriter, editor and producer of independent feature films, Sean Baker (1971-). The story is set in New York, focusing on a prostitute from Brooklyn who marries the son of a Russian oligarch.

Mikey Madison is the daughter of psychologist parents. She has four siblings, two boys and two girls. She is the twin of one of her brothers (the names and ages were not disclosed in the interview). What is known is that the family is Jewish. The young actress is currently single and has not had any public relationships. However, in the interview with the Los Angeles Times, she revealed that she intends to get married and have children before she is 30.

The name I present to you in this post is that of the veteran and talented American actor and voice actor J. K. Simmons, who has found success in theater, TV series and cinema.

J. K. Simmons became known for his role in the HBO series “Oz” (1997-2003), as the neo-Nazi “Vernon Schillinger”; as “J. Jonah Jameson” in the “Spider-Man” films (2002 and 2004); assistant police chief “Will Pope” in “The Closer” (2005-2012), on TNT; as “Commissioner Gordon” in the film “Justice League” (2024); in addition to several other roles in television and cinema.

Simmons has already been awarded the title of Knight, Padma Shri (Indian Civil Honor), but he does not yet have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In this post I bring the name of the excellent British actor, comedian, screenwriter, writer, voice actor and radio announcer Rowan Atkinson, an enthusiast and participant in car racing, to the point of even having a truck driver’s license. Atkinson is best known for being the creator and interpreter of the mime character (since he hardly speaks in the scenes): “Mr. Bean”, who became world famous for the television series of the same name, winner of the British Academy Television Award, having made two adaptations for the cinema in 1997 and 2007 and a special appearance in 2017.

Prior to his success in television and film, Atkinson starred in a series of comedy programmes for BBC Radio 3 in 1979 called: “The Atkinson People”, a programme based on a series of satirical interviews with famous fictional characters, who were played by the actor himself.

Among the most watched channels in the world, in 2018 it had more than 6.5 billion views. “Mr. Bean” is also among the most followed pages on Facebook, with almost 100 million followers, more than the English football club Manchester United or the character “Harry Potter”.

In March 2001, while Atkinson was on vacation in Kenya, the pilot of his private plane collapsed; Atkinson managed to keep the plane in the air until the pilot recovered and managed to land the plane at Wilson Airport in Nairobi.

Rowan Atkinson does not have a star on the Los Angeles Walk of Fame and has never been nominated for an Oscar.

Rowan Sebastian Atkinson, born on January 6, 1955, in Consett, United Kingdom, is now 69 years old.

Rowan Atkinson had two marital relationships, first with British makeup artist Sunetra Sastry (1967-) from 1990 to 2015, with whom he has two children, British actress Lily Sastry (1995-) and Benjamin Atkinson (1993-) who is pursuing a military career. Before separating in 2015, the actor had an extramarital relationship with British comedian Louise Ford (1981-) since 2014, with whom he lives to this day. The name I bring to you in this post is that of the talented British actor and comedic screenwriter Marty Feldman, who acted in several films and comedy series on television and in the cinema, such as: “Young Frankenstein” (1974), where he played “Igor”, the hunchbacked assistant of “Dr. Frederick Frankenstein”, played by: Gene Wilder (1933-2016).

His face was distinguished by bulging eyes, a medical condition known as exophthalmos, caused by the thyroid, known as Graves’ disease.

Feldman was born in the East End of London, the son of Jewish immigrants from Kiev. He left school at 15 and worked at the Dreamland amusement park in Margate. He was initially drawn to jazz, playing the trumpet and spending time performing in jazz clubs in Soho. He found a parallel between comedy and jazz improvisation, until he realized he had no talent for it. At 20, he decided to pursue a career as a comedian.

His great idol and artistic reference was the American comedian, director, producer, screenwriter and stuntman, Buster Keaton (1895-1966).

Before leaving music behind, Marty Feldman recorded an LP: “Going Off” (1969), re-released as: “The Crazy World of Marty Feldman”. In 1976, Feldman ventured into Italian cinema, starring alongside Barbara Gutscher, known as Barbara Bouchet (1943-) in the film: “Sex with a Smile” (1976). Feldman appeared in several films by Mel Brooks (1926-). In 1966 he directed and starred in the remake of “Beau Geste” (1939). The artist was invited to appear in an episode set in “Arabian Nights” of “The Muppet Show”, with several characters from “Sesame Street”, where he appeared as: “Scheherazade” and compared his eyes to those of Elmo.

Awards were not Marty Feldman’s strong point, especially since he died so young. Marty received 2 BAFTAE Craft Awards: Best Screenwriter in 1968 and 1969. Being British, he does not have a star on the Los Angeles Walk of Fame.

Martin Alan “Marty” Feldman was born on July 8, 1934, in London, England, and died on December 2, 1982, in Mexico City, Mexico, at the age of 48, from a heart attack while filming the comedy: “The Rampant Yellowbeard Pirates”.

Marty Feldman was married to British TV producer Lauretta Sullivan Feldman (1935-2010) from 1959 to 1982. The couple had no children.
