In this post I highlight the name of an American actor who emerged as a child star in film and television; I am referring to Angus T. Jones, best known for his role as “Jake Harper” in the CBS series “Two and a Half Men” (from 2003 to 2015).
Angus’s filmography includes: “Simpatico” (1999), character (5 year old kid); “Dinner with Friends” (2001), character “Sammy”; “See Spot Run” (2001), character “James”; “The Rookie” (2002), character “Hunter Morris”; “George of the Jungle II” (2003), character “George Jr.”; “Bringing Down the House” (2003), character “Georgey Sander”; “Audrey’s Rain” (2003), character “Tye Powell”; and “The Christmas Blessing” (2005), character “Charlie Bennett”.
The actor has won relatively few major awards in his career so far, such as the Young Artist Award (three times) and the TV Land Award, and does not yet have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Angus Turner Jones was born on October 8, 1993, in Austin, Texas, United States, and is currently 32 years old.
There is no recent public information confirming Angus T. Jones’s marital status. He maintains a low profile on social media and has stayed away from public life and the entertainment industry since leaving “Two and a Half Men”. Although he has had relationships in the past, his current marital status is religious celibacy, having converted to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. In 2012, he released a video criticizing the series “Two and a Half Men”, asking viewers to stop watching it because he considered it incompatible with his new faith. He left the series' regular cast in 2013, although he returned for the final episode in 2014, which aired in 2015 on CBS. Currently, he lives away from the spotlight and has no plans to return to acting on TV or in film.

ReplyDeleteTheodosia, thank you for telling about talented American actors!
Saludos.
Es curioso como llegamos a evolucionar. Un abrazo
ReplyDeleteOh, he was a cute kid. I am sure it was hard being a child actor.

ReplyDeleteI can imagine that after Two and a Half Men it was difficult for him to find his own way.

I only know him from Two and a Half Men! :-D Though if he is 32 now, jeez I feel old haha! I still remember him as the wee boy in it! :-D
ReplyDeleteMy friend Theodosia,
ReplyDeleteYour cinematic biographies don't leave anyone out of the spotlight, even if that's the actors' and actresses' wish.
"Angus T. Jones" was a child prodigy whose success as an adult actor we will never know, considering he chose not to pursue an acting career.
Kisses!!!
He was a beautiful child, and now he's a wonderful young man.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs, dear Theda.
