Elizabeth Taylor, famous for her year-long marriages, was married eight times: twice to Richard Burton (1925–1984), the first from 1964 to 1974 (fifth marriage) and the second, a year later, from 1975 to 1976 (sixth marriage); but her first marriage was to American socialite and hotel heir Conrad Nicholson “Nicky” Hilton Jr. (1926–1969), from 1950 to 1951; her second marriage was to English stage, television, and film actor Michael Charles Gauntlet Wilding (1912–1979) from 1952 to 1957; her third marriage was to American film and theatre producer Avrom Hirsch Goldbogen - Michael “Mike” Todd (1907–1958) from 1957 to 1958; Her fourth marriage was to American singer Edwin Jack Fisher, known as Eddie Fisher (1928–2010) from 1959 to 1964; her seventh marriage was to U.S. Senator John William Warner (1927–2021) from 1976 to 1982; and her final marriage was to American construction worker Larry Fortensky (1952–2016) from 1991 to 1996. — Children: Michael Wilding Jr. (1953–) actor, known for his work on Dallas (1978) and Christopher Edward Wilding (1955–) actor and assistant director, children of Michael Wilding; Liza Todd (1957–) American cartoonist and actress, daughter of Mike Todd; and German fashion designer Maria Burton (1961–), daughter of Richard Burton.
