The mouse gnaws at the rose’s thin stem

The rose, furious, plunges its thorn into the rodent.

㋡ Haiku is a poetic form divided into three sentences of: five, seven and five syllables. This short poem of Japanese origin, was created in the 16th century and ended up becoming popular all over the world. The word HAIKU [俳句] is formed by two terms: [hai] (play, ludic) and [ku] (harmony, achievement). That is, it represents a poem of happiness and absence of conflict, and that's how I write, with joy and without getting attached to metrics. ༺⚜༻ August 19th is Haiku Day in Japan due to goroawase (numerical pun). 8 in Japanese is [hachi]➚HA; 1 is [ichi]➚I; 9 is [kyu]➚KU. And on April 17th, many people celebrate International Haiku Day.

· 🎬 The origin of my name

· 🎥 My dear paternal grandfather, Jonathan Jon Goodman (descendant of the Goodmans, from actress Theda Bara's father), in addition to being very wise, was a visionary man, because from a very young age, as soon as silent films appeared, he acquired some old theater rooms transforming them in (street) movie theater in Los Angeles, California, United States. My family has been involved in cinematic entertainment for decades and today we still have movie theaters in large shopping malls. This love for the seventh art motivated my father, who has the name Goodman in the genealogy of his ancestors, and my mother, a fan of Theda Bara, to baptize me with the name of this great silent film actress Theodosia, a name that comes from Greek culture and means: “gift from God”. I really like my name and I love old films, whether silent or not.

🎬 The Woman with the Hungry Eyes: 2006

🎥 In October 2005, TimeLine Films awarded the biographical documentary: “The Woman with the Hungry Eyes”, released in early 2006, directed by Hugh Munro Neely. The film chronicles the life of cinema's first femme fatale, the vampire Theda Bara, from her Jewish childhood in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States, to her happy retirement in Hollywood. Theda was a brilliant silent movie actress married to renowned filmmaker Charles Brabin and made more than 40 films for Fox Entertainment Group Inc., only six of which still exist.
