The name I bring in this post is Charles Laughton, British actor, screenwriter, director and film producer and naturalized North American citizen. He first appeared professionally on the English stage in 1926. Laughton is the first UK actor to win the Oscar for Best Actor in 1934, for a British film: “The Private Life of Henry VIII” (1933), playing the protagonist : “King Henry VIII”.
Charles Laughton has his star on the Los Angeles Walk of Fame at: 1750 Vine Street in the Cinema category.
Charles Laughton was born on July 1, 1899, Scarborough, United Kingdom, and died on December 15, 1962, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, United States, aged 63.
The actor was married to the British actress, with a long career in theater, cinema and television: Elsa Sullivan Lanchester (1902-1986) from 1929 to 1962.

Based on the date of the Oscar he won, this actor is part of Hollywood's golden age.
