The actress I bring to this post is the American Raquel Welch, a woman ahead of her time, remembered for her roles in the 60s and 70s, such as in: “Fantastic Voyage” (1966) and “The Three Musketeers” (1973) which awarded her a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical Comedy. But the highlight of her career, which definitely marked Raquel Welch as a sex symbol, was when she starred in the film: “One Million Years B.C.” (1966), wearing only a bikini.

Raquel Welch never received an Oscar, but she has her star on the Los Angeles Walk of Fame, on Hollywood Boulevard: 7021, Cinema category.

Born September 5, 1940, Chicago, Illinois, United States as: Jo Raquel Tejada. She passed away this year (2023), on February 15, in Los Angeles, United States, at the age of 82.

The actress was married four times, the first to American TV producer James Westley Welch (1937-), who gave her her famous surname. The marriage lasted just 5 years, from 1959 to 1964. The couple had two children, actor Damon Welch (1959-) and former model Latanne Rene Tahnee Welch (1961-); her second marriage was to American film producer Patrick Curtis (1939-) from 1967 to 1972, another marriage that lasted just 5 years; the third relationship was with the French photographer and journalist André Weinfeld (1947-) from 1980 to 1990, after 10 years together, another divorce; and finally with American actor Richie Palmer (1954-) from 1999 to 2004, from whom she also divorced, never remarrying.
