Haiku and Art by ©Theda Bara — 2024 |
War could not be a human creation
War destroys homes and lives
War traumatizes and humanity must always be love!
☞ Phan Thị Kim Phúc, the “napalm girl” (photographed in 1972) running naked down the road in front of soldiers, marked the memory of the Vietnam War, which took place from November 1, 1955 to April 30, 1975. Kim Phúc is 61 years old, lives in Canada, where she still receives skin treatment for burns, is married and has two children.
Abrazos
ReplyDeleteMy dear friend Theodosia,
ReplyDeleteThis Haiku says a lot about the wars that are being fought in various parts of the world.
Here I find a lot of sensitivity in your words.
Kisses!!!
Thanks for the message and thanks for her update, as well. All the best to your creativity!
ReplyDeleteWell written. That is such a famous photo. War is such an awful thing.
ReplyDeletePlain and simple, yes!
ReplyDeleteA lot of children died during the US-Vietnam war.
ReplyDeleteGostei bastante deste Haiku, amiga Theda.

I love your message full of warmth and humanity, dear Theda💖💖💖 🧚♂️✨
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
