The name I bring to you in this post is that of the American actress, singer, dancer, TV presenter and philanthropist Jane Wyman.

Jane received several awards throughout her career, including an Oscar for best actress (1949), for her performance in the film: “Johnny Belinda” (1948), in the role of: “Belinda MacDonald” and three Golden Globes for the series of TV “Fireside Theater” (from 1955 to 1958). Her professional career began at age 16, in 1933, when she signed a contract with Warner Bros.

Jane Wyman was married 5 times. Her first marriage was to Los Angeles businessman Ernest Eugène Wyman (1906-1970) from 1933 to 1935; her second marriage was to telegraphist Myron Martin Futterman (1900-1965) from 1937 to 1938; her third marriage was to the actor and 40th president of the United States Ronald Wilson Reagan (1911-2004) from 1940 to 1949, with whom she had 3 children: the American political activist Maureen Elizabeth Reagan (1941-2001) the political commentator Michael Edward Reagan (1945-) and Christine Reagan (June 26, 1947), the girl died hours after being born; her fourth and fifth marriages were to American actor Fred Karger (1916-1979) from 1952 to 1955, six years after their separation they married again from 1961 to 1965.
