The name I bring to you in this post is that of the controversial American actor, voice actor, screenwriter, comedian and film and television producer Charlie Sheen, widely known for playing “Charlie Harper” in the award-winning television series “Two and a Half Men” from 2003 to 2011, a series that many say is biographical, as not only the character's name is confused with the actor.

In cinema, Sheen starred in the award-winning “Platoon” (1986), where despite being the young protagonist of the plot, the character “soldier Chris Taylor” was not even nominated for an Oscar, but the film won the statuette. “Wall Street” (1987), character “Bud Fox”; “Top Gang” (1991 and 1993), character “Topper Harley”; and “The Three Musketeers” (1993), character “Aramis” are some of his other hits.

Charlie Sheen is one of the famous artists of the American “Sheen” family, having as his father “Martin Sheen” (1940-), mother Janet Elizabeth Estévez, known professionally as Janet Sheen and Janet Templetonque (1844-) and three artist brothers Renée Pilar Estevez (1967-), Ramon Luis “Ray” Estevez, also known as Ramon Sheen (1963-) and Emilio Estevez Sheen (1962-).

Awards are not the strong point in Charlie Sheen’s career, the actor only has a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series Musical Comedy 2002, for: “Spin City”, character “Charlie Crawford”. He was nominated in the same category, in 2005 and 2006, for his performance in “Two and a Half Men”, also receiving four Primetime Emmy nominations for this work, from 2006 to 2009, but did not win.

The actor has his star on the Los Angeles Walk of Fame, at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard, in the Cinema category.

Born Carlos Irwin Estevez, on September 3, 1965 in New York, United States, he is now 58 years old.

Charlie Sheen may not be an excellent actor, like his father, for example, but behind all the problems he got into on film sets where he worked drunk and often drugged, so much so that on October 25, 2010 he was hospitalized in New York due to a drug overdose. “The drug almost killed me”, said the actor, who despite everything, does good social actions. In 2013, he donated $12,000 to the funeral of paparazzi Chris Guerra (1984-2013), who was chasing Canadian singer, songwriter and actor Justin Bieber (1994-), dying after being run over while trying to photograph Bieber in his white Ferrari; Sheen also donated $10,000 to people suffering from epilepsy after seeing a man put up posters about the disease in the streets. The posters told the story of the man’s grandson, who was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 3; and he also donated US$25 thousand to typhoon victims in the Philippines.

Charlie Sheen’s love life is also quite troubled, he had three official wives and several lovers, and also a three-way relationship with the American porn actress Rachel Oberlin, better known as Bree Olson (1986-) and with the model and graphic designer American Natalie Kenly (1987-), both 24 years old at the time, this love triangle happened in 2011, the year of the actor's last marital separation, however, the young women broke up with him and started living together. On November 17, 2015, Sheen revealed that he has been HIV positive since 2011, when he discovered the disease, without knowing how he acquired the virus. His children and ex-wives have been tested and none of them have the virus. However, nothing official is known about the health of his ex-lovers.

His first marriage was to American actress and model Donna Jainie Peele (1973-), more famous for being Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife than for acting in mediocre films. The union lasted just one year, from 1995 to 1996; Sheen’s second wife was another American actress and model Denise Lee Richards (1971-) to whom he was married from 2002 to 2006; and his third official wife was American socialite and actress Brooke Jaye Mueller (1977-) from 2008 to 2011.

Charlie Sheen has five children: Cassandra Jade Estevez (1984-), from his relationship with Paula Profit Speers (1963-), his high school sweetheart; Sami Sheen “Sam” (2004-) and Lola Rose Sheen (2005-), from the relationship with Denise Richards; and twins Bob and Max (2009-), who have lived with their maternal grandparents since their mother, Brooke Mueller, voluntarily entered a drug rehabilitation clinic in 2019.
